How to manage your iPhone Application?

When you addict to install many application into you iPhone, you must be troubled on applications arrangement. You have no idea when you still hate Apple why no named tab and expose' features in your iPhone.
I would share my experience for putting the applications for particular page to speed up your productivity.



Tips: Using iTunes9 and iPhone to OS3.0 to manage your iPhone in computer instead of drag and drop in phone directly.

Step 1. Categorize your application from your behavior
You should group up your applications to the same page under category. According to app for the most frequency of usage, localized app, games, paid app, utility, trail app or some specific reference. Put the applications together which is same categories from 1 to 2 Page.

Step 2. Consider the position for application in page

* I am right hand user. Using left hand to pick the phone and right hand to control it.

As I sketched UI in right hand side and define the zone for my impress.
Smallest number means I will focus to seek the application in 4X4 layout
So put the most famous icon under same heuristic to all pages for keeping your behavior consistence.


You may not put all icons in full on each page except first and second page. Because pressing home button make you fast to rewind first and second.



Extra 1: Using spotlight
Memorize the application name and type it at your spotlight. I prefer it when your applications over 7 pages

Extra 2: Delete useless application
Some application you tried is useless, just kick it out and keep it clean.
